Obinna Nsofor

Super Eagles striker, Obinna Nsofor, on Sunday earned his first start as an Inter Milan player and he took full advantage of it after scoring a great goal to cap off a memorable night for himself and the club in Rome.

Nsofor started the game ahead of the likes of Mancini, Adriano and Julio Cruz in the crucial contest against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.

The 21-year did not disappoint as he got on the scoresheet in Inter’s stunning 4-0 victory over Roma.

After the match, Nsofor sent out a heart-felt ‘thank you’ to his boss, Jose Mourinho.

“ I experienced some very strong emotions. I have to thank the whole team, but especially the coach,”Nsofor told Goal.

“It’s not easy to put your faith in to a young man like me, so to play from the first minute was quite significant. I have reviewed the goal I scored and it was really beautiful.

“During the two weeks of rest, I worked hard with the squad and now the results have shown. We all prepared perfectly for this match and the coach explained in detail all the features of our opponents.

“I’m happy for the victory and the three points won.”
